Zip World aims to be the most successful, people focused, location based, adventure tourism brand in the world with the provision of exciting and shared adventure experiences in unique environments. 

Weekends, bank holidays, school holidays are our busiest times. Your working hours will be reflective of this.

We require the very best to join our fast growing team. We need energetic, articulate and passionate staff focused on delivering an excellent service to our discerning customer base.

It is not essential to hold a host of qualifications in relation to the outdoors although we do require all instructing staff to hold a recognised, in date, first aid certificate to emergency first aid at work level. If you do not currently hold such a qualification, you will be required to complete a course organised by Zip World on commencement of your employment at a cost to yourself.

  • Have an exceptionally high regard for safety
  • Able to follow strict procedures consistently and repeatedly

Staff Package 
Contracts are 0hr. We would envisage you working between 30-40hrs per week during the summer months. Following completion of a summer season there will be a limited number of winter contracts available.

You shall be paid at the National Minimum Wage rate for the initial training period only. On successful completion of the training period, your rate of pay shall increase to £8.50. Once all competencies/criteria have been met, your hourly rate will rise to £9.48 per hour.

Adventure Consultant at the Adventure Booking Centre in Llanrwst

The job entails working within a team to deal with inward customer enquiries and our Adventure Booking Centre and our new Adventure Bookings Hub in Betws Y Coed opening for Easter 2017. This will include close liaison with all Zip World sites, Office Managers, Business Development Team and the Zip World Directors.

Principal Responsibilities

  • To actively respond to customer phone enquiries
  • To complete customer bookings for our range of adventures
  • To support outbound sales campaigns
  • To promote all Zip World adventures to our customers
  • To contact customers with updates on adventure ride status’s
  • Maintain excellent customer service in a busy and sometimes pressurised environment
  • Work with all Zip World staff to deliver excellent customer service and promote the Zip World values

Staff Package: A competitive wage in line with Zip World’s pay structure. There will be a range of contracts available for these roles to include permanent, fixed term, full and part time.

Principal Responsibilities

  • To carry out all reception and administrative processes and functions including guest bookings, enquiries, guest check in’s and general guest care.
  • To promote and conclude merchandise sales.
  • To promote other Zip World sites and Adventures.
  • To liaise with the operational staff at Velocity

  • To be responsible for your own health and safety and that of anybody else whom your acts or omissions may affect

Cafe Assistants needed at Zip World Fforest!

Staff Package Contracts are 0hr. We would envisage you working between 25-30 per week during the summer months. Flexibility and weekend work in essential.

Zip World Bethesda Drivers are responsible for transporting customers safely up the mountain road to the top of the Big Zip, aboard our iconic red 4WD trucks. Duties include supervising customers as they board and disembark the trucks, conducting the quarry tour, delivering trolleys for the Big Zip and briefing customers. Drivers must be over 25 years old, and hold a valid UK drivers licence. Drivers must also pass a medical. Previous HGV driving experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided. All staff are required to hold a recognised, in date, first aid certificate. If you do not currently hold such a qualification, you will be required to complete a course organised by Zip World on commencement of your employment at a cost to yourself.

Location: Zip World Penrhyn Quarry, Bethesda.  

Zip World Penrhyn Quarry is home to Velocity the longest and fastest Zip Wire in Europe, a busy summers day will see 450 riders use the facility, as you can imagine safety is our number one priority and the successful applicant will be responsible for all related Inspection and maintenance procedures on site, this will include the Zip Wire and support structures, the customer PPE (harnesses, helmets and trollies, the staff PPE and the onsite fleet of ex military vehicles.

They will also have external specialists to coordinate with for specific maintenance tasks (i.e. Commercial mechanics etc)

Previous maintenance and inspection experience is essential; experience in this industry sector is desirable

We need a diligent, organised and exceptionally motivated person to take on this exciting challenge.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Coordinate/carry out all Inspections and maintenance for all activity equipment and structures, including PPE, in line with company policy
  • To manage suitable stock levels and ordering of spare parts and replacements for continued operation
  • Coordinate all Inspection and maintenance for the onsite fleet of vehicles
  • Work closely with the Adventure Safety Manager to ensure best practice, compliance and budget efficiency's
  • Be involved in the development of all safety documentation for Inspection and maintenance operations, (risk assessments and safe systems of work)
  • To train on site staff in any maintenance and inspection procedures in line with company policy
  • To ensure sufficient recording of all work undertaken in line with company policy

Skill requirements
 
Essential

  • High attention to detail
  • Highly organised

  • Good literacy skills
  • Good IT skills
  • Previous inspection and maintenance experience (not necessarily in this industry)
  •  

Desirable
 

  • Working at height experience
  • Industry related inspection and maintenance experience
  • Trade/industry related qualification, I.E welding, PPE inspection, working at height, Fabrication etc

Closing date: February 24th  

Interview date: Week commencing March 6th

Start date: Immediate start  

Staff Package: A 40hr contract. A salary bracket of in between £23,000 and £26,000 per annum.
