Cook at Zip World Fforest, Betws Y Coed. 

Zip World opened in 2013 with 8 employees running the fastest zip line in the world from a small office in Bethesda. Four years later, the Zip World Family has grown to over 300 staff operating nine unique adventures at three stunning locations in north Wales. Zip World aims to be the most recommended experience brand in the world through the provision extraordinary adventure experiences in spectacular environments.  

We require the very best to join our fast growing team. We need energetic, articulate and passionate staff focused on delivering an excellent service to our discerning customer base.We will take care of providing you with the training and support you need to be confident and successful in your role. Whilst working at Zip World, you will be offered training opportunities and gain a wide range of transferable skills.

Hours: 64 hours a month minimum, with a view to working more hours.

Salary: £9.00 an hour

Location: Zip World Fforest, Betws Y Coed

Key responsibilities:

Ensuring high levels of quality delivered throughout
Supporting kitchen supervisor with the running of the kitchen
To be responsible when needed to open and close the café
To be responsible for training new kitchen team members
Preparing pre-made food for fridge
Cooking food to order from menu
Stock check and rotation
Preparation of all menu items
Lone working on occasion
Understanding and implementing food safety standards
Cleaning and washing up in kitchen

Requirements and skills:


Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational and time management skills
Decision making skills
Ability to manage in a diverse environment with a focus on client and customer services
Strong leadership and motivating skills including the ability to build strong relationships with customers and staff
The ability to think quickly, and work in stressful circumstances
Financial, budgeting and stock-taking skills
Knowledge of food, food hygiene (including hazard analysis and critical control points) and food preparation
Level 2 food hygiene certificate
