Facilities Maintenance Technician

Type of Contract: Permanent, Full Time

Salary: £22-£25K

Location:  Llanrwst, North Wales

Closing Date:  3rd February 2019



Main Purpose of the Job:

Preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections and reporting of company wide non-activity facilities and adventure activities, covering all Zip World sites and Base camp

Principal responsibilities

To provide a safe and highly memorable adventure experience to all customers in line with;

Zip World’s core values and beliefs
Zip World’s standard operating procedures

Zip World’s safety policy


You will also be expected to:

Completion of small building projects, decorating, and refurbishment work
Carry out routine maintenance across the sites including;

Completion of planned preventative maintenance tasks
Completion of reactive repairs and maintenance tasks
Arrange to clear blockages, drains, kitchen grease traps etc.

Carry out routine grounds keeping work across the sites

To carry out grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming and some grounds maintenance.

Record and log work in line with Zip World policy

To maintain appropriate records including intruder alarm logbook, weekly fire alarm and emergency lighting tests, etc
Log repair orders, purchase orders and inspections as per Zip World policy

Liaise with approved contractors and line/site managers to arrange specific work
Ensure all non-activity facilities are maintained to a safe and presentable standard
To report emergencies in the case of faults with gas, electric and water supply and report minor faults on site to the Duty Manager/General Manager
To comply with the requirements of Health and Safety, other relevant legislation and Zip World policies
Ensure that all sites are maintained to the high standards our guests expect
To carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function of the job
To assist with operational maintenance tasks

Essential Requirements and skills

Written and spoken communication skills that allow you to inform and advise others clearly
Initiative and the ability to offer new ideas
Personal commitment to improving your own knowledge and skills
High attention to detail
Experience of general maintenance across a range of disciplines including carpentry and plumbing
Ability to work with a degree of autonomy and maturity and demonstrate a sound judgement
