We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced hands-on Hotel Duty Manager to support the General Manager of the Hotel. You must have excellent communication and organisational skills together with a can-do attitude and exceptional customer focus. The successful candidate must have the energy, ambition, and professionalism to take the hotel forward and be willing to jump in and help wherever needed.

Experience in working within a fast-paced business
Achieving & maintaining a 5-star EHO rating
Confidence within a floor-focused environment, 80% of your time must be spent on the guest engagement, shift-running & team coaching
A background or knowledge of a hotel operation is encouraged
Evidence of strong financial control – Margins, payroll, P&L analysis
Confidence with finding solutions and resilience to daily challenges

Key Duties in this role will include but not be limited to;

Assisting with the day-to-day hotel operations, including front of house, bar, restaurant, housekeeping, guest experience and bookings
Taking responsibility for the hotel in the absence of the General Manager
Working proactively to maximise guest satisfaction and comfort, delivering a a positive and responsive approach to enquiries and problem resolution required, whilst incorporating environmental concerns.
Ensuring high service standards throughout the hotel
Assisting with recruitment, training, and supervision of staff
Managing effective room booking system
Handling and resolving guest issues and complaints
Assisting with Health & Safety compliance, including completion of risk assessments and renewal of relevant licenses
Ensure adherence to all legislation where due diligence requirements and best practice activities are planned, delivered, and documented for internal and external audits, performing follow-up as required.
