IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN


An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT Support Technician to join Zip World’s Head Office in Llanrwst. As we continue to grow and develop, we require an IT Support Technician to join the team! We’re looking for a candidate with a proven ability to work in a vibrant, fast-paced environment who loves the outdoors and the idea of working in a unique, exciting, forward-thinking business.

What will this role of IT support entail?

As the IT Support Technician, you will be working within a small IT team to deliver IT support services to Zip World staff and, wider systems providing a ‘one-stop shop’ service, giving essential support for any IT issues across the business as well as supporting all the company’s IT systems and equipment.

Your duties will include, but not be limited to:

Providing 1st line software support and general help desk duties
Making and receiving 1st line technical calls, to assist in the coordination & resolution of IT issues as quickly as possible & to ensure all key stakeholder’s expectations are met
Microsoft Office 365 admin
Assisting users with the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of backup, Office, antivirus, and other software
Supporting Zip World staff with their use of software, hardware, services as required
Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
Fault diagnosis of software and hardware faults
Installation of hardware and software across Zip World’s sites
Support the roll-out of new applications
Assist with on-call rota cover as required
Patch cabling and equipment moves
Support IT training of Zip World staff
Maintaining GDPR and other organisations compliance responsibilities

What will I need in order to be considered for this vacancy?

Previous experience working in an IT-related role, desktop support, hardware installation, etc
Knowledge of computer networking (LAN/WAN)
Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products
Knowledge of Windows and macOS to be able to support and explain to users
Excellent organisational, timekeeping, and communication skills
Excellent problem-solving skills

Desirable skills

Hands-on experience of Ubiquiti Hardware / Switches / Wireless.
ITIL certification.
Office 365 Administration.

What will I receive in return?

As an IT Support Technician you will receive a salary between £24,000 - £26,000 dependent on experience and qualifications, plus a range of attractive benefits including free and discounted access to all Zip World adventures, food and beverage discounts at Zip World sites, and social events throughout the year.

Contract: Permanent, working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm, with infrequent weekend work required to accommodate business needs.

Location: Llanrwst (Conwy County, North Wales), with occasional travel required to Zip World sites in Blaenau Ffestiniog, Betws-y-Coed, and Bethesda.
