This role enables Zip World to achieve its core vision of creating extraordinary experiences by ensuring our adventures are run safely and efficiently and give our customers the best possible experience. You will do this by maintaining and inspecting all adventures on-site, including all associated systems, hardware, PPE, and safe systems of work whilst role modeling the Zip World core values and character traits at all times.

What will this role entail?

  • Responsible for the safe operation of every product in line with SOPs and the safety of customers and the team
  • Management of inspection regime of all activity structures and equipment belonging to your site including routine visual and operational inspections.
  • Management and completion of maintenance for activity structures and equipment belonging to your site
  • Management and completion of inspection regime of activity PPE belonging to your site
  • Management and completion of maintenance of activity PPE belonging to your site
  • Management of all inspection led record keeping at your site in line with H&S framework
  • Support of the standardisation of inspection regimes across Zip World branded sites.
  • General site maintenance and presentation as required.
  • To ensure sufficient recording of all work undertaken in line with company policy
  • Responsibility for completion of  all safety documentation for Inspection and maintenance operations, (risk assessments and safe systems of work)
  • Work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure best practice, compliance, and budget efficiencies
  • Ensure your team are clear on what is expected from them, having set out clear objectives and communicating any changes to business priorities
  • Actively support the site management team ensuring any maintenance decisions are communicated at the site level.
  • Working  closely with the Operations Manager to ensure best practice, compliance, and budget efficiencies
  • Direct the maintenance team to ensure all daily tasks and checks are completed and documented 
  • To promote customer focussed maintenance support which is both responsive and the highest quality
  • To oversee the daily job list and delegate jobs accordingly
  • To manage the maintenance team rota to ensure sufficient maintenance staffing at all times
  • To manage external contractors whilst on-site, ensuring health & safety and security measures are met as well as site etiquette.
  • Ensuring that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules, and regulations are adhered to and communicated
  • Responsibility for customer and staff safety
  • Familiarity with Site audits/adventure Audits
  • Responsibility for maintaining the site in a good safe and serviceable manner 
  • Ensuring safety briefs, assessments, rescues, and practices are done in line with company procedures
  • Delivery of all EOP’s (Emergency Operation Plans)
  • Investigating and reporting on all incidents and accidents
  • Maintaining PPE and safety equipment in good order and recording the same
  • Responsible for the safe operation of every product in line with SOPs and the safety of customers and the team

What will I need in order to be considered for this vacancy?

Hold a full clean driving license

Experience in planning maintenance operations

A can-do/hands-on attitude to work

Ability to keep track and report on activity

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

To be decisive, proactive, self-motivated, and assertive

Internal customer focused with the ability to adapt to the variable demands of the business

What will I receive in return?

As the Maintenance Team Leader at Zip World Tower, you will receive a salary of between £22,000 to £28,000, level dependent on experience and qualifications, plus a range of attractive benefits including free and discounted access to all Zip World adventures, food and beverage discounts at Zip World sites, and social events throughout the year.
