Site Engineer

Type of Contract:  Full Time

Pay:  £25,000 – £30,000 per year - depending on experience

Reporting to:  Revl in partnership with Zip World

Taking your career to new heights…

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-directed Site Engineer to join an experienced technology company, who’s goal is to support every kind of adventure experience whether it’s underwater, on land, in the air, and even in space. Currently, Revl X is focusing on skydiving, driving, flight, and zip-line experiences.

In brief Revl makes auto-editing software and smart action cameras. Our customers are sky diving operations, big auto industry players, and zip line operators. What they all have in common is that they want to use our cameras to capture their client's experiences and then use our software to automatically turn all that footage into a great final edited video that they can sell to their customers. Our auto editing software is fast: a final rendered video is ready less than fifteen minutes after the client has completed the experience! You can see our complete system in action here: https://youtu.be/8RmMQafi9Us.

While Revl is located in the Unites States we're looking for someone to work on-site at Zip World to ensure our system operates smoothly there.

Administer, support and test systems

Conduct quality and control checks
If necessary, fix things manually, enabling the system to run smoothly
Devise scripts and ‘how to’ guides to simply tasks
Provide support to other locations with testing and system updates

What will I need in order to be considered for this vacancy?

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Linux (bash, system, iptables, cron, etc.)
Docker (networking, logging, etc.)
Strong networking knowledge and ability to troubleshoot
A keen eye for detail
A hands-on approach

Preferred but not necessary:

Location: While Revl is located in the Unites States we're looking for someone to work on-site at Zip World Base Camp to ensure our system operates smoothly there.
