FAQs
Got questions? This is where you will find quick answers to everything about Zip World, from bookings and what to expect on the day to accessibility and our thrilling experiences. If something is not covered here, just reach out to the team. We are here to make sure your adventure goes without a hitch.
Can I spectate if I am pregnant?
The only restriction for pregnant people spectating with us is if they want to go underground at our Zip World Llechwedd site. We can't allow anyone who is pregnant to spectate during a Bounce Below adventure.
Does parking cost more on the day?
Parking is the same charge of £3 for the full day when you choose to pay on the day at the site or when you purchase before-hand with your booking. This excludes the Manchester, Windermere and London sites as they have an external parking management.
Do I still have to pay a booking fee when booking over the phone?
A booking fee is charged when placing a new booking over the phone with our team or when booking online through the website.
I don't want to participate but is there anywhere I can watch my family take part?
The majority of our adventures offer spaces for you to watch your family or friends take part in the adventure. Some adventures such as Bounce Below do require you to purchase a 'spectator ticket' at a charge of £5. This allows you to use the seated area next to the Bounce Below nets. Some of our adventures do require a spectating adult over 18 years if a child is of a particular age taking part in an adventure.
Can I buy food and drinks at the site?
A selection of our sites has a Zip World cafe or restaurant that provide hot or cold food, soft drinks, alcoholic drinks, tea, coffee and cakes. Our London, Windermere and Manchester sites do not have an on-site restaurant, but they all have nearby places to eat. Please refer to the site opening times as these are also the restaurant and cafe opening times.
- Blondin Restaurant - Penrhyn Quarry
- Cegin Glo Bar & Bistro - Tower
- Fforest Caffi - Betws-y-Coed
- Llechwedd Caffi - Llechwedd
Enjoy a bistro-style setting as you re-fuel with a burger and a pint, or settle into our cosy cafes for a coffee and cake. All our food establishments also provide breakfast for those early adventurer's. You can also sit down and enjoy a locally sourced roast dinner at Tyn-y-Coed, our Welsh inn located in Capel Curig.
Charity raffle prizes and donations
We offer a monthly draw where we donate adventure vouchers to one school and one charity. To enter, you just need to fill out a short application form. Winners are chosen randomly on the last working day of each month. If you're looking for a donation or raffle prize for your charity, we can assist with that as well.
For more details, you can visit our charity page.
Do you sell Zip World merchandise?
We sell branded Zip World merchandise at all our our sites including hoodies, keyrings and hats. We also sell locally sourced items such as Snowdonia Cheese and Tweedmill blankets at selected sites. Some of our sites are limited to space so only have a selection of merchandise.
If I book two adventures, do I qualify for free parking?
If you book two or more different adventures (excluding redeeming vouchers) in one transaction, you will qualify for free parking at our sites. This does not include car parks under external management such as London, Manchester and Windermere. This can be across multiple days and multiple sites. During the checkout process you will enter the car registrations of each vehicle visiting. Your car will then be recognised upon entering the car park as free of charge.
Visiting with a disability
We try our best to accommodate people requiring a wheelchair or other assistance across our adventures and sites. To discuss any additional needs or to place your booking with us please contact us on 01248 601 444 or email accessability@zipworld.co.uk.
We do offer an essential companion ticket to someone with an Access Card from Nimbus Disability. The essential companion will be able to participate free of charge with a paying Access Card holder. If you're an essential companion and you need to assist in helping someone who is participating in the adventure and don't wish to partake yourself, then we can also facilitate this free of charge.
We can only accept a carer free of charge who is an essential companion to someone with an Access Card. This allows us to identify the specific needs of that individual. If you do not have an Access Card and wish to take part in one of our adventures please visit this page to register for a card. If you wish to access other attractions that operate under the Access Card, you can choose to upgrade your card for a charge of £15 for a 3 year membership.
