These are the FAQs for Zip World in Wales. Before you head off for your next adventure there’s just a few things you’ll need to know. We have provided this section to help answer some common questions;

Please note a £3.50 booking and admin fee is charged for bookings made over the phone. This fee applies for total booking, not per ticket.
Spectators are welcome at all Zip World sites - however please be aware it is not always possible for spectators to see all/any of the adventures.
Zip World Penrhyn Quarry, Bethesda
If you want to watch your loved ones on Zip World Velocity, we currently have a small indoor viewing area and large outdoor spectating area with picnic tables, with a catering chalet also available. As of June our new Adventure Terminal will be open, where you'll be able to watch them soar over head from our viewing platform!
Zip World Slate Caverns, Blaenau Ffestiniog
If taking part in Bounce Below doesn't appeal to all your group, for £5 per person you can venture underground and watch the spectacular scene.
There is unfortunately no spectator area for Zip World Caverns.
Zip World Fforest, Betws y Coed
Feel free to take a walk around the Adventure Trail at Zip World Fforest and take in all the action. Why not enjoy some refreshments at Fforest Caffi while you wait?
We welcome everyone to all our sites; however, whilst our activities are designed to be accessible to most people they do offer a degree of physical and mental challenge.
For some people with additional needs this may mean that additional equipment and/or persons will be required for safe participation, however additional measures cannot be guaranteed. Only Velocity at Zip World Penrhyn, Bethesda is suitable for wheelchair users and must be by prior arrangement.

Zip World Velocity & Zip World Titan:
Prepare for all weather! For the colder days, it is strongly advised that you wear gloves whilst participating and we recommend wearing sensible warm/waterproof clothing. For those warmer summer days, still consider you are in a mountainous environment and temperatures will be significantly lower.
Zip World Caverns & Bounce Below:
The activity is based in an underground cavern where the temperature is approximately 10 °C. Please wear suitable clothing that covers your arms and legs, preferably old garments in the likelihood of dirt/damage occurring. For Caverns, please wear either trainers or walking boots; for Bounce Below, please wear trainers. Open toe shoes, flip flops, sandals or similar footwear are not permitted.
All Zip World activities:
Long hair should be tied back, all jewellery and scarves to be removed and skirts are not recommended.
On your feet, please wear trainers or walking boots - open toe shoes, flip flops, sandals or similar footwear are not permitted.
Zip World reserves the right to refuse admittance should appropriate clothing not be worn.
We recommend leaving your belongings in your vehicle.
We no longer have the facilities to keep car keys for our customers for our underground adventures in Blaeanau Ffestiniog, Bounce Below and Caverns, however The Slate Caverns offer locker hire for £1 and a £2 deposit.
We ask all customers, who have pre-booked, to bring their confirmation email. This is e-mailed to you after making the booking. Alternatively this can be shown on a device (i.e. phones, tablet, I Pad). If you do not receive this e-mail please call Zip World on 01248 601 444.
Customers must arrive at least 30 minutes prior to activity times.
Arriving after the scheduled starting time will not entitle a customer to a refund. There will be no compensation paid for consequential losses or other expenses of a similar nature.
Zip World reserves the right to make operational changes at any time which are considered necessary for safety or operational matters. For safety reasons, we may introduce amendments to weight restrictions or even site closure.

We understand plans change and where possible a booking amendment shall be accommodated without charge or penalty.
Individual bookings shall be entitled to cancel or make amendments up to 7 days prior to activity. You shall be entitled to a full refund in the event of cancellation under this clause.
Group bookings of 6 to 15 people shall be entitled to cancel or make amendments up to 14 days prior to the activity. The Customer will be entitled to a full refund in the event of cancellation under this sub-section.
Group bookings of 16 or more shall be entitled to cancel or make amendments up to 28 days prior to the activity. The Customer will be entitled to a full refund in the event of cancellation under this sub-section.
Following a group price offer, if there is a reduction in group size at any time prior to the activity, the booking will be re-priced accordingly and further charges may apply.
