Can I bring a picnic to Zip World?
Only food sold at selected Zip World sites can be consumed within the premises. We have on-site cafés and restaurants where you can purchase food and drinks. Feel free to bring along your picnic to enjoy in the surrounding areas.
Please visit our 'Eat & Drink' page to discover facilities available.
Can I buy food and drinks at the site?
A selection of our sites has a Zip World cafe or restaurant that provide hot or cold food, soft drinks, alcoholic drinks, tea, coffee and cakes. Our London, Windermere and Manchester sites do not have an on-site restaurant, but they all have nearby places to eat. Please refer to the site opening times as these are also the restaurant and cafe opening times.
- Blondin Restaurant - Penrhyn Quarry
- Cegin Glo Bar & Bistro - Tower
- Fforest Caffi - Betws-y-Coed
- Llechwedd Caffi - Llechwedd
Enjoy a bistro-style setting as you re-fuel with a burger and a pint, or settle into our cosy cafes for a coffee and cake. All our food establishments also provide breakfast for those early adventurer's. You can also sit down and enjoy a locally sourced roast dinner at Tyn-y-Coed, our Welsh inn located in Capel Curig.
Can I spectate if I am pregnant?
The only restriction for pregnant people spectating with us is if they want to go underground at our Zip World Llechwedd site. We can't allow anyone who is pregnant to spectate during a Bounce Below adventure.
I don't want to participate but is there anywhere I can watch my family take part?
The majority of our adventures offer spaces for you to watch your family or friends take part in the adventure. Some adventures such as Bounce Below do require you to purchase a 'spectator ticket' at a charge of £5. This allows you to use the seated area next to the Bounce Below nets. Some of our adventures do require a spectating adult over 18 years if a child is of a particular age taking part in an adventure.
Do I still have to pay a booking fee when booking over the phone?
A booking fee is charged when placing a new booking over the phone with our team or when booking online through the website.
Can I book a group of 4 ticket over two different time sessions?
Visitors using a group of 4 ticket to book an adventure must all take part within the same time session. A group of 4 ticket can’t be split across multiple time sessions. If you need any assistance or want to confirm availability, feel free to call us on 01248 601 444.
Does parking cost more on the day?
Paying for parking on arrival via the RingGo app, incurs an extra app administration charge of 60p. There is no extra charge for parking if you book parking directly through us before the day of your booking. This excludes the Manchester, Windermere and London sites as they have an external parking management.
Which Zip World sites are accessible?
Some of our sites are more accessible than others due to the terrain and remote environment they operate in for example, Zip World Penrhyn Quarry and Zip World Tower is the most accessible site due to the majority of the site being level terrain and includes a purpose built adventure terminal with restaurant and disabled toilets. However, not all the adventures on these sites are fully accessible, so please discuss your needs with us before booking.
Zip World Llechwedd is partly accessible above ground but we can't allow anyone with impaired movement underground in the caves due to the sub-terrain environment, this then limits the adventures you can do here.
Zip World Betws-y-Coed is built on varying terrain including steep hills, this means that accessing certain adventures will not be possible.
Zip World London is fully accessible with flat pathways, lifts to the adventures and accessible toilets within the site.
Zip World Windermere and Zip World Manchester can offer adventures for guests with mobility needs depending on their level of movement, they can also provide a range of experiences that can accommodate other additional needs.
If you wish to discuss your additional needs further when visiting any of our sites, please contact our team on 01248 601 444 or email accessibility@zipworld.co.uk.
Am I eligible for the essential companion ticket?
If you want to participate in an adventure and have an Access Card from Nimbus Disability with the +1 symbol, we offer a free essential companion ticket. This allows your essential companion to join you on the adventure free of charge, as long as you're a paying participant. Your essential companion must be an adult over the age of 18 years.
