What makes the Fforest Coaster special
The Zip World Fforest Coaster might just be the best toboggan in Wales. Leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life behind and discover why this alpine coaster has become one of North Wales' must do adventures.
You’ll glide through stunning Welsh woodland, breathing in the fresh air. The iconic coaster ride will have you weaving and speeding through the trees, either independently or with a friend.
Grip your brake levers and decide your own pace as you whizz back down. For something more gentle, keep brakes engaged. Or feel the rush, releasing your brakes and flying down to get your adrenaline fix.
Restrictions
Before booking this adventure, please carefully review the following restrictions to ensure you and your party meet the minimum participation requirements. Any participant under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 years or over, and in most cases, an adult must take part in the group unless stated otherwise.
Supervision for under 18’s
Children aged 3 – 8 yrs must be accompanied on the same sledge by 1 participating adult (or child aged 9+ and over 1m) for every child
Children aged 9 - 17 years must be accompanied by a spectating adult, unless that adult is participating, in a ratio of 1 adult to 5 children
Max Weight
Participants must be below 150kg (seat belt permitting) to take part in this adventure
Max Weight (Combined)
Participants combined weight must be below 150kg to share a sledge
Min Height (Driver)
A minimum height of 1m is required for the driver of the adventure

What to expect from your Fforest Coaster experience
Planning your Fforest Coaster Wales adventure? Here we’ll talk you through each step of the process for ultimate peace of mind, and you’ll see just how accessible this adventure really is!
Check-in (30 minutes before)
Arrive at our reception half an hour before your adventure start time to check in and grab your wristband.
Board your sledge
Take a very short walk to the Fforest Coaster boarding station. Our team will be there to give you a short safety briefing. When it's your turn, hop aboard your sledge solo or with your buddy.
Enjoy the scenic ride up
Sit back and let the sledge do all the work. Enjoy the scenery for around 4 minutes along 300m of track. The peaceful ascent gives you a few moments of bliss, soaking in the views.
The ride down
Now comes the fun! Grab those two control levers and steer your way down the 700m of track. Push forward to speed up and pull back to slow down.
Go again and again!
With three rides included you can build your confidence and speed with each run! You may also opt to have one of your runs filmed using our cameras. Easily pre-book or pay for on the day.
Refuel at Fforest Caffi
Finish right next to our Fforest Caffi bar and our stunning woodland Tipi Bar. Grab a bite to eat and refuel after your adventure.
FAQs
When should I arrive?
You will need to arrive on site ready to check in for your experience 30 minutes prior to your adventure start time.
What should I wear?
You will need to wear warm comfortable clothing suitable to the weather on the day, with walking boots or trainers. Some of our experiences require your arms and legs to be covered, please check individual adventure restrictions to see if this applies to you.
Can I protect my booking if I need to make any last-minute changes?
Yes, you can purchase ticket protection insurance at check-out which will allow you the flexibility to make a last-minute change or cancellation.
Can I book over the phone?
It is quicker to book online, but you’re welcome to call us if you’d prefer; please do so on 01248 601 444. Please note there may be a wait time on the phone, particularly during busy periods.
When are you open?
We are open all year round except Christmas day and Boxing Day. During off-peak seasons, please visit our checkout to see our booking calendar and our opening days. Each site has different opening times and days so please check our website.

How do I book?
The easiest way to book is online. Click the red ‘Book Now’ button at the top of the page, and select your adventure, time, date and number of participants.
Do I need to book in advance or can I just turn up?
We’d always recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment. If you turn up without a booking, we will do our best to fit you in, but cannot guarantee this. Please be sure to book in advance if you’re travelling a distance to visit us.
