Back from the depths! Monsters of the Mine returns to South Wales
Deep in the heart of South Wales, the coal mines are hiding something sinister. At night, the once-bustling Zip World Tower adventure site is shrouded in darkness and becomes a hunting ground for creatures you’d rather not meet in the day, and certainly not in the dark.
Zip World’s Monsters of the Mine is no ordinary Halloween event; it’s an immersive scare-fest where monsters roam free. They stalk the shadows, lunge from the mist, and delight in chasing down anyone brave enough to wander into their territory. If that wasn't enough to get your blood pumping, experience the Zip World Tower adventures at night with nothing but chilling lights to illuminate your way. Zip line through the night sky on Phoenix or speed through dark tunnels with Tower Coaster.

The industrial backdrop, the chill of the mountain air, and the sheer unpredictability of what’s lurking ahead make this one of South Wales most thrilling scare experiences. Spectator Night Pass – from £5
This pass grants you entry to the event and to soak up the Halloween spirit as you watch the carnage unfold around you. However, this pass only gives you access to the event and doesn’t give you access to any of the adventures. If our adventures aren’t for you or you just want to accompany your child – this is the ticket for you! And don’t worry the monsters won’t forget about you…
Terror Coaster Night Pass – from £20
The Terror Coaster Night Pass will see you tearing around a track in the pitch black on the first two-seater coaster of its kind in Europe. Reach speeds of up to 25mph as you sit side-by-side with a family member or friend, and dart through spooky tunnels before emerging into the darkness once again.
Phoenix Night Pass – from £22
This night pass is the ultimate option for an adrenaline-filled evening! Experience our Phoenix zip line as you zoom into the darkness at speeds of up to 80mph. This zip line will get your heart pounding as you soar through the night sky to the monsters back at base. Experience the 620m zip line and fly alongside up to 3 other people to all share in the heart-pounding thrill that is the big zip line at Zip World Tower!
Terror Coaster & Cursed Climber Night Pass – from £27
This pass is for the adventure seekers who like a challenge! This pass will give you access to our Terror Coaster where you will fly around a track at up to 25mph, weaving and winding through dark tunnels and corners, as well as scaling the Cursed Climber. The Cursed Climber is a four-storey adventure course suspended high above the roaming monsters below. Complete obstacle after obstacle to make your way around the course and test your nerve.
Terror Coaster & Fear Flyer Night Pass – from £25
This pass is the perfect choice if you want to stay a little closer to the ground and the fearsome monsters! The less extreme combination of adventures will still give you a sense of adrenaline and fun. Tear around a track in the pitch black on a two-seater coaster and fly over our lurking monsters below on the Fear Flyer zip line. This zip line features two lines so you can brave it with someone right next to you.

Where? Zip World Tower Colliery, Aberdare, CF44 9UF.
Who? Visitors must be 9+ years to attend due to the nature of the event and usual adventure restrictions apply.
Parking: Free parking is included with your Monsters of the Mine ticket.
Food and drinks: Food and drinks will be available each night to purchase from our onsite restaurant. Items will include hot food and drinks, soft and alcoholic drinks and a selection of light bites.
