Christmas in North Wales is getting a little more adventurous this year, as Festive Forest returns to Zip World Betws-y-Coed.

Set among the woodland of Betws-y-Coed, Festive Forest brings together Christmas lights, seasonal atmosphere and some of Zip World’s most exciting forest adventures. It's a festive experience with a difference, making it ideal for families, groups of friends and anyone who's looking for something to do in North Wales this Christmas.
A Christmas experience in the heart of the forest
As the light falls, the woodland is transformed into a twinkling festive playground. Guests can explore the forest beneath Christmas lights, enjoy seasonal music and soak up the atmosphere while taking on adventures surrounded by the trees.
The experience combines the natural beauty of the Conwy Valley with the excitement of Zip World, creating an evening that feels distinctly different from a traditional Christmas event. There are festive treats and opportunities to pause and enjoy the surroundings, but the main attraction is the chance to experience the forest in all its Christmas glory.

Polar Coaster Express
The headline attraction is the Polar Coaster Express, with three rides included per person. Guests climb 365 metres through the woodland before racing back down 710 metres of track at speeds of up to 25mph. With the forest illuminated by icy blue hues, the coaster takes on a distinctly Christmassy feel while retaining the thrills that make the alpine coaster so popular. The sledges can be ridden solo or shared, subject to the attraction's restrictions.
Snowtop Nets
Tickets also include one hour in Snowtop Nets, a suspended netted adventure among the trees. Expect bouncing, running, sliding and plenty of opportunities for family fun, all accompanied by festive music and lights. Giant snowballs add to the playful winter theme, making this part of the experience particularly appealing to younger visitors.
Want even more adventure?
For visitors who want to turn their Christmas outing into a full-on adrenaline session, additional experiences are available separately. Chimney Drop offers a 100ft freefall through trapdoors, while Sleighride takes the excitement into the air with a giant swing that rises 24 metres above the ground. Both are available as add-ons rather than being included in the standard Festive Forest ticket. That means you can keep your visit relatively family-friendly or add an extra thrill for those in your group who are looking for something more daring.

On-site parking is included in your ticket, meaning you can park up and head straight in to enjoy your night. Betws-y-Coed can be reached by local train and bus services.
