The frightful return of North Wales’s top Halloween event - Ffear Fforest!
Hordes of demonic clowns return to Zip World Betws-y-Coed this October 2025 to once again raise hell amongst their unsuspecting victims. Now one of the leading Halloween events in North Wales, Ffear Fforest lets you experience true fear as you run through woodland at night to avoid the grasps of our Zip World clowns. Not only do you have the clowns to navigate but you’ll also be put to the test taking on Zip World adventures with a chilling twist!
Brace yourself for a night of unrivalled terror as you try and escape our crazed clowns who will be stalking and teasing you all night! If that isn’t scary enough for you, some of our iconic Betws-y-Coed adventures have had a Halloween makeover for you to experience. The chaos will start as soon as you enter the carpark! Our clowns are notorious for getting into people’s cars and causing havoc. So, if that is not for you, remember to lock your doors! This immersive experience allows you to interact with our famous clowns and enjoy a truly scary night. Been before? Your favourite clown will be waiting for your return, with a few new scary faces around.

Night Pass – from £22
This pass gives you entry to the event and full access to the included adventures. Get up close and personal with unlimited access to our notorious clowns and experience two rides on the Cursed Coaster as well as access all evening to The Nets. The Night Pass also gives you the ability to add exhilarating extras to your night including our Nightfall and Screamride adventure.
Spectator Night Pass – from £5
This pass grants you entry to the event and to soak up the Halloween spirit as you watch the carnage unfold around you. However, this pass only gives you access to the event and doesn’t give you access to any of the adventures. If our adventures aren’t for you or you just want to accompany your child – this is the ticket for you!

Cursed Coaster
Escape the circus for a while with a trip on our cursed alpine coaster. Ascend 700m through pitch-black forest with nothing but the eerie whistling of wind through the trees. With just a headlight to guide you back down, your cart with weave and dart at speeds of up to 25mph down the remaining 300m of track. You can brave this experience alone or if you are too scared, feel free to drag someone along to share a sledge with you (restrictions apply).
The Nets
Suspended high above the trees is a vast net system where you can run, bounce and hide from the clowns. Navigate your way through the walkways and huge spaces whilst the clowns watch in dismay from below. Some areas of The Nets are plunged into darkness where other parts are illuminated in haunting lighting. The Nets are available to access all evening so feel free to come and go on them as you please. The Nets are a no clown zone so if you need a break, this is the best spot!

Nightfall - £20
What’s scarier than a forest filled with demonic clowns? Maybe free-falling 100ft into complete darkness. Nightfall is an adventure to get the blood pumping as you stand on a set of trap doors that awaits your fate! Feel your stomach drop as you freefall through the doors before being slowly lowered to the ground by the assisted brakes. Harness up with a friend for moral support or take on the challenge alone.
Screamride - £16
Experience one of Europe’s largest swings surrounded by darkness and thick mist. Soar through the night sky as the intense g-force hits your body! You will be hoisted 24m in the air before it’s up to a member of your group to pull the release cord and send you flying into the night sky. Don’t think you can escape the clowns though – they may be waiting for you when you get off!
Tree Horrors - £16
Returning after a successful first year, Tree Horrors has you navigating your way through obstacles, zip lines and various other balancing challenges – all whilst clowns are trying to grab at your ankles from below! This high rope course is suspended in the trees surrounded by darkness and mist with just a few small lights to illuminate your way.

Who? Visitors must be 9+ years to attend due to the scary nature of the event and usual adventure restrictions apply.
Parking: Free parking is included with your Ffear Fforest ticket.
Food and drinks: Food and drinks will be available each night to purchase from our onsite café and Snack Shack. Items will include hot drinks, soft and alcoholic drinks, burgers, chips and cakes.
