Zip World named 'Best Family Day Out' in the UK
As the Summer holidays are now here, The Times have released an extensive list of activities for the perfect family days out that will keep the kids occupied while they are off school. For even the most creative parents, the summer holidays can be a daunting task and made even worse if the weather is miserable, which it often is over the Summer in the UK. This makes Bounce Below the best option for an indoor family day out!
Bounce Below is located at Zip World Llechwedd in the UNESCO World Heritage site of Blaenau Ffestiniog. The adventure is built in a former Victorian slate mine where you will find vast caverns and caves filled with trampoline-style nets, slides the height of two double-decker buses and illuminated tunnels connecting each of the nets. Bounce below is a one-of-a-kind experience that can be enjoyed with all the family from excited children to adventurous adults. Bounce Below is one of seven activities at the Zip World Llechwedd site, along with the world’s first underground adventure golf, a deep mine tour and Phoenix, an exhilarating seated zip line experience.
Zip World has several sites scattered across the UK offering a range of adventures, but it is Bounce Below in particular that has caught the attention of The Times. Zip World is listed amongst some of the UK’s most prestigious attractions such as Alton Towers, Warwick Castle and the Jorvik Viking Centre in York. Some of our Welsh neighbours were also included in the list of activities with BikePark Wales in Glamorgan and National Showcaves Centre for Wales near Swansea, also featured.
