FAQs
Got questions? This is where you will find quick answers to everything about Zip World, from bookings and what to expect on the day to accessibility and our thrilling experiences. If something is not covered here, just reach out to the team. We are here to make sure your adventure goes without a hitch.
Is there a maximum drop off time when you enter the car park?
There will be an exemption window of any fixed penalty notice if the driver enters and leaves within 30 minutes.
What if I can’t download the parking app?
It is recommended that parking is paid for through the Zip World website when booking your adventures for a smooth check-in process when you arrive. Payment only needs to be made before exiting the car parks. Visitors will be able to take advantage of Zip World’s free Wi-Fi.
I didn’t know I had to pay for parking
Parking can be added to your basket when booking the adventures online. There are also clearly marked signage in all our carparks that are in-line with British Car Park Association requirements. Visitors are also made aware on our website and on the booking confirmation email, that car parking charges apply to all sites.
Which sites do I have to pay for parking?
All Zip World sites require you to pay for parking. Our Windermere, Manchester and London sites also charge for parking but are operated under the management of the landowner. If you have booked two or more adventures on the same day, you qualify for free parking. Location codes need to be entered when paying for parking:
- Penrhyn Quarry: 71700 (RingGo)
- Betws-y-Coed: 71697 (RingGo)
- Llechwedd: 71698 (RingGo)
- Tower: 71699 (RingGo)
- Manchester: 800891 (PayByphone)
What do I do if I receive a parking fine?
All fixed penalty notices once issued will be handled by Smart Parking. All appeals and disputes should be directed to Smart Parking.
What do I do if I visited Zip World and forgot to pay for parking?
If you leave a site and have not paid for parking whilst you were there, you have until the end of that day to pay for the parking. If the end of the day passes without payment on the day you visited, you will receive a fixed penalty notice.
Do I still need to pay for parking if I am a Blue Badge holder?
Yes. Blue Badge holders or anyone parking in a labelled disabled space will need to pay the standard parking charges.
If I visit two sites in one day, do I pay for parking at both sites?
Each car park’s tariffs will apply to that individual site and there are no multi parking options. If you visit more than one site in a day, you will have to pay for each site as the parking charges are separate, unless you have booked two or more adventures on the same day in which case you qualify for free parking.
What if my booking is postponed and parking has already been paid?
If your booking is postponed due to the weather for example, our team will be in touch with you firstly. Once your booking is moved to an agreed time and day, your parking will also be moved to that chosen day. No extra parking charges are needed if you have paid for parking when making your original booking.
