Velocity – Zip World Penrhyn Quarry, North Wales - £110pp
Your adventure begins at the breathtaking slate landscape of Penrhyn Quarry, home to the world’s fastest and UK’s longest zip line. By day, the views across the quarry and toward Eryri (Snowdonia) are spectacular. By night, it’s a completely different experience. As you’re clipped into position, the darkness stretches out in front of you. The quarry becomes a dramatic silhouette, illuminated by scattered lights below. Then comes the countdown. You’re released. Within seconds, you’re accelerating to speeds of up to 100mph, flying into the night air with nothing but the sound of the wind rushing past. The reduced visibility heightens every sensation - the speed feels faster, the drop feels bigger, and the entire experience feels more intense.
Phoenix – Zip World Tower Colliery, South Wales - £55pp
Unlike heading face-first on Velocity, Phoenix is a seated zip line experience, designed for side-by-side fun. It’s fun, dynamic, and the world’s fastest seated zip line. As you launch yourself from the platform, the former colliery site glows ahead of you. Racing your friends through the darkness adds a competitive thrill, and the illuminated forest either side of you creates an almost cinematic feel.
Refuel & relive the night
After conquering your zip line, it’s time to warm up and unwind. Each guest will receive a meal voucher, which includes:
- A main meal of your choice
- A soft or hot drink
Whether you go for something hearty to refuel or a hot drink to warm up in the crisp March air, it’s the ideal way to sit back, laugh about the screams, and replay the best moments of the night.

Riding in daylight gives you panoramic views and a clear sense of the scale around you. But at night, everything changes.
