Abseil to ground-level down the side of the iconic Principality Stadium, controlling your speed the whole way
Soak up panoramic views of the city, Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) and Welsh coastline beyond from the incredible viewing platform, before dropping back down! This abseil experience is definitely the quickest and most exhilarating way to end your stadium walk.
Restrictions
Before booking this adventure, please carefully review the following restrictions to ensure you and your party meet the minimum participation requirements. Any participant under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 years or over, and in most cases, an adult must take part in the group unless stated otherwise.
Supervision for under 18’s
1 participating adult 18 yrs+ is required for every 5 children <18 yrs
Walking Ability
Due to the nature of this adventure, everyone must be able to walk and be physically fit. Babe in arms are not permitted
Min Weight
Participants must be above 30kg to take part in this adventure
Max Weight
Participants must weigh a maximum of 130kg to take part in this adventure
Min Height
A minimum height of 1.25m is required for this adventure

What to expect from your experience
So what’s involved in the experience? Here we’ll talk you through each step of the process for ultimate peace-of-mind, and you’ll see just how accessible this adventure really is!
The first step of any Zip World adventure - arrive half an hour before your start time to check-in at reception. If you’ve already signed your waiver then great, your check-in process will be super smooth!
Once checked in, you’ll meet your guide who will lead you through the entire experience. First, you’ll be kitted into a full-body harness, which will be your safety equipment for the Stadium Drop.
Once kitted-up, if you’ve opted to include the Stadium Walk in your package, you’ll scale the heights of the Principality stadium by foot, enjoying the cityscape vista as you traverse this iconic building, all whilst safely clipped into the harness system.
You’ll conclude your Stadium Walk experience at the viewing platform, where you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the city, the Brecon Beacons and the Welsh coastline beyond from 30m in the air. This is where the Stadium Drop experience will begin!
The guide will attach you to the abseil system and give you a full safety briefing. From here, you will independently begin to abseil down the 30m drop, whilst being in full control of your speed the whole way down.
Once you’ve dropped, you’ll get de-kitted by a member of our team. You’re now free to explore everything else Zip World Cardiff has to offer!

When should I arrive?
You will need to arrive on site ready to check in for your experience 30 minutes prior to your adventure start time.
What should I wear?
You will need to wear warm comfortable clothing suitable to the weather on the day, with walking boots or trainers. Some of our experiences require your arms and legs to be covered, please check individual adventure restrictions to see if this applies to you.
Can I protect my booking if I need to make any last-minute changes?
Yes, you can purchase ticket protection insurance at check-out which will allow you the flexibility to make a last-minute change or cancellation.
Can I book over the phone?
It is quicker to book online, but you’re welcome to call us if you’d prefer; please do so on 01248 601 444. Please note there may be a wait time on the phone, particularly during busy periods.
When are you open?
We are open all year round except Christmas day and Boxing Day. During off-peak seasons, please visit our checkout to see our booking calendar and our opening days. Each site has different opening times and days so please check our website.

How do I book?
The easiest way to book is online. Click the red ‘Book Now’ button at the top of the page, and select your adventure, time, date and number of participants.
Do I need to book in advance or can I just turn up?
We’d always recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment. If you turn up without a booking, we will do our best to fit you in, but cannot guarantee this. Please be sure to book in advance if you’re travelling a distance to visit us.

Conveniently located within walking distance of Cardiff Central station, multiple city-centre bus routes and a 15 minute drive from the M4, you won’t be short of easy options to reach us. Please plan your route ahead and check the Principality Stadium website for further information on planning your route.
We recommend using public transport, but you'll have no trouble reaching us regardless of your mode of travel.
