The perfect family adventure

Hop aboard the UK’s only two-seater coaster of its kind alongside friends and family, reaching speeds of up to 25mph and optional brakes.
Dart and speed along the 1km track for the ultimate thrill, or take it slower and soak up the sights and sounds of the old quarry.
Whizz through tunnels, speed along banked corners, and feel the thrill of ground-rush as you enjoy the Tower Coaster’s twists and turns through an exciting and plentiful history, with a stunning Rhigos mountain range backdrop too of course.
Restrictions
Before booking this adventure, please carefully review the following restrictions to ensure you and your party meet the minimum participation requirements. Any participant under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 years or over, and in most cases, an adult must take part in the group unless stated otherwise.
Supervision for under 18’s
Children aged 4 - 8 yrs must be accompanied on the same sledge by 1 participating adult (or child aged 9+ and over 1m) for every child
Children aged 9 - 17 must be accompanied by a spectating adult in a ratio of 1 adult to 5 children
Supervising adults must remain on the coaster station area throughout the duration of the adventure
Max Weight
Participants must weigh no more than 130kg to take part in this adventure

Participants' combined weight must be below 170kg
Min Age
You must be at least 4 years old to take part in this adventure

A minimum height of 1m is required for this adventure

What to expect from your experience
So what’s involved in the experience? Here we’ll talk you through each step of the process for ultimate peace-of-mind, and you’ll see just how accessible this adventure really is!
Check-in
The first step of any Zip World adventure; arrive half an hour before your adventure start-time to check-in at reception and settle in.
All aboard
From reception, you’ll head to the boarding station (located in a historical quarryman’s bathhouse!) and be shown how to use the speed lever in your cart. Now it’s time to hop aboard and strap in!
The ride
You’re now ready to fly along the 1km coaster track, be it with a loved one or alone! Fly, weave and speed along the track’s corners, winding sections and tunnels at speeds of up to 25mph.
Time for round 2 and 3!
Each ticket allows you 3 rides on the Tower Coaster, so once you’ve dismounted, you can head right back to the platform for another go.
Time for round 3!
Will you go quicker this time?! You can of course change your configuration too; you can go alone this time, you can share with a different member of your group (restrictions apply).

When should I arrive?
You will need to arrive on site ready to check in for your experience 30 minutes prior to your adventure start time.
What should I wear?
You will need to wear warm comfortable clothing suitable to the weather on the day, with walking boots or trainers. Some of our experiences require your arms and legs to be covered, please check individual adventure restrictions to see if this applies to you.
Can I protect my booking in case of unforeseen circumstances?
Yes, you can purchase ticket protection insurance at checkout, giving you added peace of mind if unforeseen circumstances affect your plans and you need to claim a refund. Please read TicketPlan’s terms and conditions to find out what is and isn’t covered.
Can I book over the phone?
It is quicker to book online, but you’re welcome to call us if you’d prefer; please do so on 01248 601 444. Please note there may be a wait time on the phone, particularly during busy periods.
When are you open?
We are open all year round except Christmas day and Boxing Day. During off-peak seasons, please visit our checkout to see our booking calendar and our opening days. Each site has different opening times and days so please check our website.

How do I book?
The easiest way to book is online. Click the red ‘Book Now’ button at the top of the page, and select your adventure, time, date and number of participants.
Do I need to book in advance or can I just turn up?
We’d always recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment. If you turn up without a booking, we will do our best to fit you in, but cannot guarantee this. Please be sure to book in advance if you’re travelling a distance to visit us.
I am a content creator and want to work with Zip World
Content creators are welcome to book onto experiences themselves and film using a phone, without any special equipment. This can be done without prior discussion or supervision from the marketing team. If you’re interested in a formal collaboration with us, please get in touch before your visit. We're dog friendly
