Conwy Castle

The fortress is a World Heritage Site, along with Conwy’s other exceptional historic glory - its 1.3km ring of town walls, which completely enclose the original township of narrow streets.

This magnificent medieval fortress still towers over the town of Conwy after 700 years

North Wales is sometimes referred to as the ‘castle capital of the World’ because of the large number of castles in such a small area. Built on the command of English king Edward I in the 13th century, this castle now serve as a memorial which you can explore in wonder. The castle allows visitors to walk around the entirety of the walls and grounds making that experience all the more authentic.

This famous fortress is exceptionally well preserved. It contains the most intact set of medieval royal apartments in Wales. The high curtain wall and eight lofty towers rise almost as impressively as when they were built.
