Just a short, steep walk from the small car park along Cwmorthin Road, the waterfall tumbles down weathered rock formations to create a serene and photogenic spot, perfect for a quick pause on your hiking route.

This waterfall is often the first scenic highlight on the walk toward Llyn Cwmorthin. From here, a network of loose-stone tracks leads through evocative quarry ruins, past a mirrored lake, and up toward moorland vistas offering dramatic views over Blaenau Ffestiniog and surrounding peaks.
If you're up for a bit more adventure, the broader trail here forms a moderate 3.8-mile loop that includes both the waterfall and the lake, with an elevation gain of around 275 metres, making it a rewarding outing for families and experienced walkers alike.
