Fairy Glen

Fairy Glen is a hidden gem tucked away in a wooded gorge just outside Betws-y-Coed in Eryri (Snowdonia). This enchanting spot features a narrow, twisting river cutting through moss-covered rocks, with cascading waterfalls and quiet pools that feel like something out of a storybook.

The Fairy Glen is a gorgeous wooden dingle and considered one of the prettiest spots in the area.

A short but steep walk through woodland brings you to the glen, where the River Conwy rushes through a series of rocky channels beneath steep, fern-draped cliffs. The area has long been associated with Welsh folklore, and it’s easy to see why as it has a truly magical atmosphere, especially in the soft light of early morning or after rain when the moss glows green and the water tumbles louder.

The glen is on private land, and a small entrance fee is charged at the gate. Footpaths can be uneven and slippery in places, so sturdy footwear is recommended. For photographers, nature lovers, or anyone looking for a peaceful detour, Fairy Glen offers a beautiful, otherworldly escape into the heart of the Welsh landscape.
