Swallow Falls

A popular attraction in North Wales, this waterfall gets its name from the prominent rock that split the flow of the water in two, making it resemble a Swallow's tail.

The waterfall has featured in TV and films such as Wonder Woman 1984.

Located approximately 2 miles from the village of Betws-y-Coed, Swallow Falls is a must-see natural wonder that flows through the Afon Llugwy. You can approach the waterfall on foot from the village along the northern bank which follows the river, or you can use its principle viewpoint which is easily accessed through a chargeable turnstile located along the A5 from Betws-y-Coed. No strenuous walking is required or for the more energetic there are steps leading down to a platform close to the river edge.
