Be the first to experience the Zip World Fforest Coaster - an exhilarating experience where visitors can control their speed as they weave, dart and speed through 1km of stunning woodland scenery, while taking in Snowdonia’s breathtaking mountain views.
The new all-weather adventure reaches speeds of up to 25 mph and includes 10 hair raising bends. Featuring steep descents down mountain terrain and skirting just 1.5m away from the trees, it uses cutting edge technology to provide a truly memorable experience for all the family, from ages three to 93!
Starting the journey in the heart of the woodland, visitors are strapped into their sledge with the simple controls meaning that all visitors from the age of nine can take control of how fast they go. Braking and control systems ensure that sledges are kept a safe distance apart and also enforce a maximum speed.
Consisting of 35 sledges able to handle 250 adventure lovers an hour, either on their own or in pairs; the Fforest Coaster offers three rides for £15pp for 9 years and up, £7.50 for under 9s. Find out more and book here!
The Fforest Coaster is located in Betws-y-Coed at the Zip World Fforest site. Offering woodland-based adventure for families, it is already home to the following Zip World adventures:
- Treetop Nets, a treetop-based bounce adventure winding through 250m of woodland, featuring suspended nets, tunnels and the longest net walkway in Europe
- Zip Safari, a journey on zip lines, rope bridges and obstacles 60ft high through the Douglas Fir canopy in a stunning forest setting
- Plummet, the world’s highest Powerfan tree parachute simulator
- Skyride, Europe’s highest and first five-seater giant swing which hoists visitors over 80ft into the air
Zip World Co-founder, Sean Taylor, says: “Allowing passengers to control the speed of our Zip World Fforest Coaster for themselves means we can offer our visitors a unique user experience. This, combined with our stunning mountain views, makes for a truly memorable day out for all the family.”
