Heaton Park
Covering 600 acres, the park grounds host a Grade 1 listed country house, woodlands, a boating lake and animal farm.
The biggest park in Manchester and the largest municipal park in Europe.
More than just a walk in the park, Heaton Park is an historical site packed with things to do! Sold to Manchester City Council in 1902 by the last Earl of Wilton, the park was renovated over the years to include a golf course, ornamental garden, an adventure playground, bowling green, treetop adventures and not to mention the annual calendar of events that are held in the park.
Spend the day visiting Heaton Hall, a Grade 1 listed building with its many fine rooms including library and music room. If you get tired of walking, hop on one of the traditional Heaton Park Trams dating back to the 1900's which take you all over the park. Feeling like a bit of adventure, why not try Zip World Manchester? Zip World Manchester is a treetop adventure like no other with bouncy nets and obstacles suspended in the woodland above Heaton Park.
